Bet365 ignites tech-led recruitment drive
Online betting heavyweight building new tech-delivery team in Manchester office and Stoke headquarters

Bet365 has kickstarted a recruitment drive to create a new Management Information Systems (MIS) team working across its Manchester office and Stoke-on-Trent-based global headquarters.
It is understood the betting heavyweight is recruiting for 30 tech-based roles, with 18 of those focused on the new MIS team.
Vacant positions include both junior and senior MIS roles across SQL development, software testing and database administration.
EGR has learned the online-only operator has been inundated with applications, with more than 400 received for one project coordinator role, while several of the new roles have already been filled.
Bet365’s current MIS department includes more than 75 individuals across multi-disciplinary software teams building back-office web applications, as well as a division dedicated to dealing with international regulatory demands on technology.
An increasingly crucial requirement in regulated markets is the provision of data to regulators, particularly in the instances of national self-exclusion schemes and integrity-based monitoring of sports betting.
Delivery of these resources is typically led by MIS teams, which operate at a more complex level than standard IT personnel.
“As bet365 expands into new regulated markets across the globe, we are required to provide local government organisations with various reports and data in order to operate our business,” said bet365 technology recruitment specialist Ryan Millward on LinkedIn.
“The requirements differ hugely between regions, so the work is highly varied and probably unlike anything you’ve seen before.
“We’re recruiting for people who want to join us during our period of rapid expansion and are motivated by the challenges that lie ahead,” he concluded.
Bet365 first opened an operational tech base in Manchester in July 2016 before expanding its footprint in the city in March of this year by signing a five-year lease on a 25,000 square foot, three-floor office building located in the financial quarter.
In the same month, the operator promised to guarantee the salaries of its 4,600 strong global workforce for the following five-month period.
