Bet365 expands footprint in Manchester
Online giant to occupy 25,000 square-foot space in refurbished city centre office block
Bet365 is to rent three of the five floors at the Core office building in the centre of Manchester, according to media reports.
The global online operator is taking 25,000 square feet of office space at the Grade A office building on a five-year lease.
Located on Brown Street in the heart of Manchester’s financial quarter, Core underwent a complete refurbishment in 2018 across it five floors, creating a modern and open working environment.
James Whitcher of Boultbee Brooks Real Estate said: “Securing bet365 against stiff competition is testament to the quality of the Core development and the whole project team who worked tirelessly to deliver an impressive transformation of a previously unloved building.”
Bet365 first opened a technology-focused hub in the city back in 2016 – the first office outside of its Stoke headquarters.
Two years later, following the hiring of almost 200 developers, the privately-owned firm increased the headcount of its tech team in Manchester by recruiting another 100 more people.
Manchester has become a magnet for start-ups, entrepreneurs and tech unicorns, including the likes AO.com, Boohoo.com and The Hut Group.
