Bet365 confirms operational changes in new terms and conditions note
The operator’s core operational gambling hub officially moves to Malta from Gibraltar

Bet365 has confirmed its UK-facing gaming business will no longer be operated from Gibraltar in an updated terms and conditions notice for British customers.
The operator told EGR Intel it has now relocated its core operational gambling hub from Gibraltar to Malta, with effect from 30 January 2020.
Bet365 punters were today asked to accept updated T&Cs, which were driven by the UK’s scheduled exit from the European Union on 31 January – a result of the EU referendum in June 2016.
The bet365 notice confirmed its sports betting business will no longer be operated by Hillside (UK Sports) LP (HUKS), but instead by Hillside (UK Sports) ENC (HUKSE), while its British-facing gaming business will no longer be operated by Hillside (Gibraltar) Limited.
A bet365 spokesperson said: “Further to previous statements last year concerning bet365’s plans to further increase its presence in Malta given the impending departure of the UK from the EU, bet365 confirms that it has now relocated its core operational gambling hub from Gibraltar to Malta.
“As previously stated, bet365 has however retained a meaningful licensing and operational presence in Gibraltar, thus continuing its dual regulatory and licensing strategy position between the two jurisdictions.”
In May 2019, the operator conducted a major rationalisation of its Gibraltar office.
