Exclusive: Bet.Works opens trading office in Las Vegas to drive local recruitment
CEO David Wang says the firm is “hiring aggressively” to grow its trading team of 12 in Las Vegas

Sportsbook platform supplier Bet.Works has opened a new office in Las Vegas to house its trading and risk management operations, EGR North America can reveal.
Bet.Works CEO David Wang said the company was “hiring aggressively” to boost its current trading team of 12.
Wang said: “We want to make sure we have the best and brightest in the industry so by default there are certain roles that have to be in Las Vegas, like trading and risk management.”

Bet.Works’ trading and risk office in Las Vegas was opened officially on July 15
“[The team] specifically specializes in US sports and that enables us to offer our clients a special opportunity that many of our competitors do not,” he added.
Former VP race and sports at MGM Jay Rood joined the firm in June to lead the now-separated risk and trading operations.
Wang said the growing trading team was working towards the firm’s imminent launch in New Jersey.
“We’ll be launching shortly in New Jersey, give or take the start of the NFL season, so we’re just gearing up for that and then we’ll expand into more states,” Wang said.
The office was officially opened on July 15 by Bet.Works chairperson Dr Laila Mintas and CEO and co-founder of the firm’s media partner theScore, John Levy.
The Bet.Works headquarters is also in Las Vegas, with a third office in Atlantic City dedicated to payments, compliance and customer services.
