Star Sports founder hails “huge opportunity” for new Star Recruitment arm
Ben Keith’s Star Sports Group has opened a new recruitment arm for the betting industry called Star Recruitment.
The new division is head by chief executive Simon Banks, who has a background is in PR and journalism after serving as the media and communications officer for the Greyhound Board of Great Britain.
Star Sports chief Ben Keith told EGR the launch was a way to diversify the business and take advantage of existing contacts.
“I’m a networker,” Keith said, “I meet people in the industry all day long and I put a lot of people together. I’ve found a lot of people jobs over the years so I thought ‘why not earn some money from it’.
“It’s a huge opportunity. Some might think all these firms are merging, people say the game has gone and it’s all online casino but the game hasn’t gone. More people are gambling than ever before just in new way, and there’s jobs to be filled.”

Keith added: “We all know they play musical chairs in Malta and Gibraltar. I respect Pentasia and Betting Jobs. They’re very good at what they do but I don’t think they’re so good I can’t get some money out of it as well.”
The new business went live yesterday at starrecruitment.bet.
Simon Banks added: “The global gambling industry is facing a future of rapid expansion and operators will need to source the talent required to meet market demands.”
