Bally’s makes Iowa sportsbook debut
Casino and mobile sport betting operator expands into the Hawkeye State with two more launches expected by the end of 2021
Bally’s Corporation has beta launched its mobile sportsbook Bally Bet in Iowa, in partnership with local casino operator Elite Casino Resorts.
Bettors in the Hawkeye State will now be able to access betting options for all major sports, exclusive in-app parlay games, and integrated social features following the launch.
In addition, Bally Bet users can earn points on sports betting which can be redeemed at the firm’s casinos nationwide through the Bally Rewards loyalty program.
This expansion also provides Bally’s with additional exposure on Sinclair Broadcast Group’s local CBS and Fox television affiliates in Iowa.
Elite Casino Resorts owns the Grand Falls, Rhythm City, and Riverside Casino and Golf Resorts casino and sportsbook properties.
The launch in Iowa follows the successful launch of Bally Bet in Colorado last month.
Bally Bet’s app is now available for download in Iowa and Colorado on both iOS and Android and is also accessible via desktop at the Bally Bet website.
As with the Colorado launch, Bally’s has said the Iowa beta launch will focus on the deployment, testing, and refinement of the Bally Bet app.
Bally’s Interactive has confirmed its intent to launch the Bally Bet mobile sportsbooks in two additional markets in 2021, with subsequent launches set to occur in 2022.
Bally’s Corporation SVP strategy and interactive Adi Dhandhania said he was “very excited” to have achieved the launch of the Bally Bet sportsbook in a second US state.
“As a state that has embraced legalized sports betting since 2019, Iowa was an attractive market for Bally Bet,” Dhandhania explained.
