Aspire Global acquires Pariplay in £11.7m deal
Operator highlights potential US expansion as part of multi-million pound transaction

Online gaming operator Aspire Global has entered into an agreement to acquire fellow egaming firm Pariplay in a €13.1m (£11.7m) deal.
Pariplay is owned by Isle of Man company GMS Entertainment Limited and consists of 70 employees which are predominantly based in Sofia, Bulgaria.
The company currently holds licences to operate in the UK, Gibraltar, Malta, Curacao and Romania and generated sales of approx. $3.2m (£1.7m) in Q1 2019. The transaction is expected to complete in Q3 of 2019.
Aspire Global said while it expects the acquisition to have a “positive effect” on the company’s 2020 EBITDA, it is not expected to have any “material effect” on the company’s financial results for that period.
Under the terms of the acquisition, Aspire Global’s proprietary games will be accessible to Pariplay’s external partners, which includes 888 and GVC.
Tsachi Maimon, CEO of Aspire Global, said he was excited about the acquisition and that it was in line with Aspire’s M&A strategy of “focusing on B2B-growth and external game sales”.
Pariplay recently gained a certificate to operate as an interactive gaming operator in the US state of New Jersey, something which Maimon believes could “act as the spearhead of our future efforts to enter the US market”.
Gili Lisani, CEO and founder of Pariplay, praised the “intense effort and strong commitment” the company had shown in the years since its founding in 2011.
“I feel confident about sending the company off for the next phase of the growth-journey and I believe that the match with Aspire Global is great, allowing both operations to reach whole new levels. I look forward to following the progress,” Lisani added.
