Argyll Entertainment granted Irish licence
Operator to launch core SportNation and RedZoneSports brands in the market

Argyll Entertainment has been granted an Irish bookmaker’s licence as part of its plans to expand beyond the UK.
The licence went live yesterday with Argyll planning its first full-scale ad campaign for October.
The operator said it plans to launch both its SportNation and RedZoneSports brands in Ireland, with a localised marketing and promotional strategy.
For instance Argyll will aim to deliver a content marketing programme with Irish teams or clubs similar to its deal with Solihull Moors FC.
“Ireland is an incredibly important territory for us in terms of our aspiration for growth beyond the UK market,” said Argyll CEO Stuart Tilly
“Our licence has been granted at a great time for both of our brands with the start of the NFL season around the corner among other key events including the return of the Premier League and the start of jump racing.”
Argyll will also replicate its award-winning rewards programme and promotional offers including the new ‘first 5 minutes payout’ promotion, which pays bets as winners in televised Premier League and Championship matches if a team scores within the first 5 minutes of a match.
Tilly added: “Our rewards programme is a huge part of our USP and has proven to be of great appeal to our UK customers so we’ll be working hard to reward our loyal Irish customers in the same way whilst adapting our proven UK marketing strategy to best suit the demands and tastes of the Iocal market.
“Sponsorship remains a big part of our plan in Ireland too and we’re keen to explore the marketplace for partnerships which will complement our expansion strategy.”
Argyll was named as Innovative Operator of the Year at the EGR Marketing and Innovation awards earlier this year.
