Allwyn appoints Twitter UK MD to all-star National Lottery bid team
Sazka Group’s UK-facing operation bolsters heavy-hitting advisory board with addition of digital guru Dara Nasr

Sazka Group’s new-look Allwyn brand has appointed Twitter UK MD Dara Nasr to its high-profile advisory board.
Nasr will advise the operator’s UK National Lottery bid team on matters regarding the digital evolution of the National Lottery.
The bid team is led by London 2012 Olympic maestro Sir Keith Mills.
Nasr has served as Twitter UK MD since November 2015, having originally joined the social media giant in November 2012 as head of sales.
He previously spent nearly six years with Google across senior roles, as well as time with Eurosport as an account manager.
Nasr joins Justin King, Brent Hoberman, Charles Garland and Amanda Horton-Mastin on the all-star advisory board.
Sazka is looking to expand its European lottery portfolio as it goes up against licence holder Camelot and Italian operator Sisal in a tender for the fourth National Lottery licence.
The victorious licensee will manage the competition from 2023.
Speaking on Nasr’s appointment to the advisory board, Mills said: “Allwyn’s sister companies are a testament to the powers of digital in the lottery world and I can’t wait to work with Dara and apply his knowledge of the digital and social media landscape.”
Nasr added: “As I’ve seen during my time at Twitter, mobile means there is huge potential to establish a close 24/7 relationship between company and customer.
“I’ve teamed up with Allwyn and their parent company Sazka Group because they understand the importance of digital to lotteries. I can’t wait to get started,” he added.
