888poker returns record amount to players from game integrity reviews
Online poker division of 888 returns $287,292 to players as part of its fair gaming policy

888poker has announced it has returned $287,292 (£239,880.20) to players from accounts it said had violated its policy on fair play.
The operator confirmed it had returned an average of $42 to a total of 6,801 players. This figure is a 32% increase in the number of detections reported in 2021.
888poker has said it has made progress in tackling the issue of ‘bots’ and real-time advisers and using software programming to create unfair advantages over real-life players.
The poker operator also detected players colluding with each other for an unfair advantage.
The reason for the progress, the operator said, was due to the firm’s continued investment in improving its detection capabilities to help create a safe, fair and enjoyable space for all poker players.
Matan Krakow, head of poker offering at 888poker, commented: “At 888poker, we take the issue of game integrity very seriously. This year, as a result of our continued investments in technology, the cooperation of our players, and the hard work of our teams, we have increased the detection rate of bot accounts, RTA and collusion to give back almost $290,000 to players.
“In the year ahead, we will continue to focus on this area to ensure that customers have a fair, safe and entertaining experience when they play with 888poker,” Krakow added.
