888 unveils new-look Poker 8 platform
Operator promises enhanced graphics and improved functionality on desktop 888poker platform with mobile upgrades imminent

888 has commenced the roll-out of its new poker platform, Poker 8, after revamping the product following feedback from customers.
Poker 8 is described as a “new and improved cross-territory” platform that has been redesigned to offer a “more engaging and enjoyable” experience for 888poker users.
The first phase of the new platform launch includes upgrades to 888poker tables for desktop players, including enhanced graphics and improved functionality.
Further upgrades to the platform on mobile are also planned, including enhancements to the player lobby to allow for easier transitioning between tables.
888’s B2C SVP Guy Cohen said: “We’re thrilled with the initial roll-out of our Poker 8 platform which includes a number of exciting and innovative new features to make the 888poker experience even more enjoyable.
“Over the coming months, all players will benefit from additional upgrades and improvements to our next generation poker platform and we’ll be taking on board customer feedback about the new features.
“Once the roll-out is complete, we believe our best-in-class platform will offer the most entertaining and engaging experience on the market,” he added.
The roll-out of the upgraded Poker8 tables across all 888poker domains and platforms is expected to be completed over the coming months.
The upgrade comes after a “highly challenging” 2018 for 888poker after revenues fell 37% to $49m.
888 tied up the $28m acquisition of the All American Poker Network in December 2018.
