888 names ex-Entain head as director of strategic marketing
London-listed firm shifts Michael Sheehan from 888sport to parent company after six months in role

888 has shifted 888sport VP of marketing Michael Sheehan to become the parent company’s director of strategic marketing for the UK.
This is Sheehan’s third role in 12 months since returning to 888-owned William Hill in February 2022 as director of marketing strategy and planning.
In November last year, 888 pulled Sheehan from Hills to head up 888sport’s marketing output based in Gibraltar.
Sheehan previously spent more than four years with Entain across a series of marketing roles before returning to Hills in February 2022.
He had a near-seven-year spell with Hills between February 2011 and August 2017, culminating in his role as head of social media at the firm.
In his new role as director of strategic marketing for the UK, Sheehan will be responsible for managing the overall marketing strategy and budget for the firm.
He will also oversee several departments including media, sponsorships, organic social media and creative.
Speaking on his new role, Sheehan said: “After a week of epic success stories for our business, I wanted to share some exciting news on a personal level.
“I’m delighted to share that I’ve taken up the role of director of strategic marketing for the UK including the William Hill and 888 brands at 888,” he added.
