888 brings on board former Entain and William Hill exec for VP of marketing role
Michael Sheehan moves internally for his latest role after 10 months with William Hill as company restructure continues

888 has brought Michael Sheehan across from William Hill to become its new VP of marketing.
Sheehan’s role at 888 will be to oversee the 888sport brand’s marketing strategy and activities. His main responsibility is to devise and execute plans to increase revenue, brand awareness, conversion and retention.
He moves into this role after 10 months with William Hill as its marketing strategy and planning director.
At Hills, Sheehan oversaw the firm’s strategic planning for the UK market. He also spent time at William Hill between February 2011 and August 2017 before moving to Entain for close to five years.
At Entain, Sheehan held a number of roles including head of UK partnerships for Coral and Ladbrokes and head of strategy, planning and business development.
In his first spell at William Hill, he was in charge of the group’s Irish website and the head of social media.
In a post on LinkedIn, Sheehan said: “I’m happy to share that I’m starting a new position as VP of marketing for 888sport at 888 Holdings.”
Elsewhere, 888 recently posted a 7% year-on-year decline in Q3 2022 revenue to £449m, as UK player safety measures and the closure of the group’s Dutch business hindered performance.
