7bet launches sportsbook and casino offering in the UK
Lithuanian brand operated by Anakatech Interactive Ltd enters market during a period of uncertainty over potential tighter regulations

Lithuanian operator 7bet has rolled out its sportsbook and casino in the UK after seeing success in its home country.
The company, which offers betting and igaming on its 7bet.lt website, will now provide sports betting and casino to British players as part of a white label deal.
The website is operated by UK-licensed Anakatech Interactive Ltd, which has its head office located in the Bulgarian capital of Sofia.
According to the Gambling Commission website, Anakatech Interactive has held a UK casino licence since November 2017, while a betting licence was granted in February 2024. The company also operates Lucky Mate and Winomania in the UK market.
Founded in 2020, 7bet is headquartered in the Lithuanian capital Vilnius and boasts a workforce of 11-50 employees, according to its LinkedIn page.
CEO Justinas Sliazas lists Betsson Group as part of his career journey on LinkedIn, having spent more than two years there from March 2018 and September 2020, as the firm’s head of Lithuania.
Prior to that, he held several positions at telecommunications firm BITE Lietuva for a decade.
COO Justinas Bakšys also spent time with BITE Lietuva and was head of sales at local carwash company Švaros Broliai before arriving at 7bet in September 2020.
In its launch announcement, 7bet said this next step was a significant milestone and thanked its team for their commitment and passion.
Its LinkedIn post read: “Entering a challenging market like the UK is not something we take lightly. We firmly believe that this business is not just about coming in and taking money; it’s about putting in a lot of effort, understanding our customers and delivering exceptional experiences.
“Our success is built on a foundation of hard work, integrity and a genuine desire to provide the best for our clients.”
7bet added: “As we embark on this new venture, we draw inspiration from our success in Lithuania, where we have been running a thriving business for the past three years.
“Recently celebrating our third birthday there is a testament to our ability to grow and sustain in competitive markets.
“We are excited about the opportunities ahead and are confident that our dedicated approach will resonate with our new audience in the UK.”
The UK is currently overhauling its gambling laws to be fit for the digital age, although the extent of change to the country’s regulations will now depend on the actions of the new Labour government which swept to power earlier this month.
This week, 10 July, Stephanie Peacock was named the new gambling minister, joining Lisa Nandy in the Department for Culture, Media and Sport (DCMS).
