32Red customers avoid financial impact after data breach
Kindred-owned brand launches investigation after server fault exposes customer card data

Kindred Group temporarily took its 32Red site offline last week after a technical fault resulted in a breach of financial data.
On 18 February, some 32Red players in the UK were able to view the account holder name, last four digits and expiry date of cards belonging to other customers, separate to the individual payment methods registered with their accounts.
Kindred maintains that no customers suffered financial losses or negative monetary impacts as a result of the breach.

Tech news outlet Verdict suggested as many as 118 customers were affected by the breach.
Kindred shut the site down after the issue was identified but has since resumed operations.
32Red conducted a full investigation of the breach and reported the matter to authorities in Gibraltar, where the brand is licensed. All affected customers were also contacted.
A Kindred spokesperson said: “On Thursday morning, 32Red, part of Kindred Group, experienced a technical issue on its platform and was taken offline. The issue is fixed and all facilities fully restored.
“The issue caused a breach of data concerning a small number of customers that were logged in at the relevant time. Affected customers were not able to access incorrect payment cards for deposits or withdrawals.
“No financial transactions were made to or from incorrect payment cards and thus there has been no financial impact to any 32Red customer.
“We have completed a full investigation and have reported it to the relevant authority. We are also in the process of contacting affected customers,” Kindred added.
