1xBet bolsters esports sponsorship portfolio
Operator inks agreement with ESL to become official betting partner across two esports codes
Sports betting operator 1xBet has agreed a sponsorship partnership with esports events company ESL.
Under the remit of the agreement, 1xBet will become the official global betting partner for ESL across Counter-Strike: Global Offensive (CS:GO) and Dota 2 events.
Throughout 2021, the operator will sponsor the ESL Pro Tour CS:GO and the ESL One Summer & Winter Dota 2 tournaments.
Alex Sommers, 1xBet spokesperson, said: “There is no better way to start 2021 than to further build on the successful launch of our already extensive esports offering.
“The ESL Pro Tour circuit is the ultimate professional CS:GO competition, and we’re thrilled to become the first-ever global betting partner here.
“There is no doubt our partnership with ESL will allow us to expand our esports footprint within the global esports community,” he added.
Jasmin Haasbach, ESL director of global brand partnerships, commented: “We are delighted to have teamed up with 1xBet for the first time in what is a truly global partnership.”
1xBet already sponsors Ukrainian esports organisation NAVI and has previously held the title sponsorship for HellRaisers.
