Slots Tracker: Top three keep podium positions in iGaming Tracker’s April slot rankings
NetEnt’s Starburst stays strong at the top for the seventh month running while Gordon Ramsay Hell’s Kitchen catapults from 17th to fourth place
The top three games cling on to their positions again this month, with NetEnt’s Starburst sitting proudly in the number one spot for the seventh consecutive month, following the algorithm reshuffle in October 2020.
Book of Dead by Play’n GO and Big Time Gaming’s Bonanza also remain unchanged in second and third spot in iGaming Tracker’s slot rankings for April.
However, Gonzo’s Quest Megaways from NetEnt/Red Tiger has slipped down from fourth to sixth place as Gordon Ramsay Hell’s Kitchen, also from NetEnt, leapt up the table from 17th position to take the fourth spot, making it the highest climber of the month.
In April, there were three new entries and three re-entries, with Rich Wilde and the Amulet of Dead being the highest new entry in at number 10. Other new entries were Pragmatic Play’s Power of Thor Megaways and Red Tiger’s Cash Ultimate.
Re-entries to the top 20 included Big Bass Bonanza by Pragmatic Play, Jammin Jars by Push Gaming and Buffalo Blitz by Playtech.
The iGaming Tracker has changed its methodology of data collection and ranking since October 2020 to give a fairer and broader reflection of the rankings.
Games are ranked by their position throughout the month on more than 500 of the largest casino sites in Europe. Only the ‘main’ page of the casinos is taken into account and the top 10 most prominent positions on those pages.
The previous number of sites the iGaming Tracker took into account was just 50.
The iGaming Tracker compiles the slots rankings by tracking casino sites across 24 European countries including the UK, Sweden, Germany, Italy, Norway and Denmark.
Each casino page is tracked every day over the month as well as which game occupies each position. Each position is weighted so the top positions on the page have a higher weighting than the positions on the bottom of the page. Likewise, the pages, sites and countries are weighted to give a fairer view on the success of casino games.
Table games such as roulette and blackjack are excluded from the rankings as are live casino games.
