Slots Tracker: Pragmatic Play breaks duopoly to lead rankings for first time
Big Bass Bonanza capitalises on slip from Play’n GO's Book of Dead to surge ahead as slots supplier accounts for 50% of top 10

Pragmatic Play finally broke the NetEnt and Play’n GO duopoly in the EGR Slots Tracker in December after Big Bass Bonanza stormed into first place.
The title took top spot after Play’n GO’s Book of Dead slipped from the top of the pile in November to fifth place in December.
NetEnt’s Starburst returned to second place after sitting in the bronze medal position in November, while Pragmatic Play titles moved in to plug the gap.
Sweet Bonanza climbed from the fourth spot to third while Big Bass Splash crept up from fifth to fourth.
Stablemate Gates of Olympus remained in sixth place while Sugar Rush crashed into the top 10 in eighth.
In terms of biggest movers, Sahara Riches: Cash Collect by Playtech moved from 144th place in November to 16th in December.
Pragmatic Play’s Christmas Big Bass Bonanza jumped up 91 spots to finish in 18th while Triple Edge Gaming’s Rising Rewards moved up nine places to finish in 12th.
NetEnt’s Gonzo’s Quest was the highest-ranking title from November (16th) to fall out of the top 20 completely.
Elsewhere, analysed data revealed the top-ranking new slots released since 1 October 2023.
Pragmatic Play’s Sugar Rush Xmas took top spot in December following its 30 November debut.
Pragmatic Play’s Big Bass Christmas Bash (24 November release) and Fire and Roses Jolly Joker by Triple Edge Gaming (6 December release) took the silver and bronze medals, respectively, in the new games rankings.
Fortune Factory Studios’ Gold Blitz Extreme was the title with the latest release date (20 December) to secure a spot in the top 20.
In January 2023, EGR appointed a new data partner, eGaming Monitor (EGM), to track casino sites and help collate the monthly rankings.
EGM tracks game pages of more than 3,000 casino sites globally, with the European charts being based on the number of game tiles found for each game across operator sites in regulated markets.
EGM limits its tracking to just the main casino homepage of each site, with the tracker taking in slots, instants, scratch cards, slingo and crash games but excluding table games, live games, video poker, video bingo and others.
In December, EGM tracked 13,378 games from 400 studios in 29 European regulated markets including the UK, Italy, Spain, Germany and the Netherlands.
