Slots Tracker: Play’n GO takes back top spot after one month hiatus
Book of Dead returns to top of the pile as Starburst fails to hold onto gold medal position

NetEnt’s Starburst’s turn atop the iGaming Tracker rankings came to an abrupt end after just one month in the top spot.
Book of Dead by Play’n GO stormed back to lead the rankings after slipping to second place in May, with Starburst returning to the silver medal position.
Pragmatic Play strengthened its grip on third, fourth and fifth place as its Big Bass Bonanza, Sweet Bonanza and Gates of Olympus titles remained unmoved.
Play’n GO’s Legacy of Dead and Pragmatic Play’s Wolf Gold were also static, finishing in sixth and seventh, respectively.
Fire Joker by Play’n GO had the biggest jump in the rankings, moving from 14th in May to eighth in June.
There were three new entries in the June rankings including Play’n GO’s Reactoonz.
Light & Wonder’s Rainbow Riches was the highest-ranking title from May (11th) to fall out of the rankings completely.
iGaming Tracker also detailed the top-ranking new slots released in May and June, with Pragmatic Play securing a first, second and third place finish.
Wild West Gold Megaways ended up top of the pile when it came to new games, following its 3 May release.
Big Bass Splash and Cleocatra took up the remaining podium places, having been released on 31 May and 12 May, respectively.
The game with the latest release date to secure a spot in the top 20 was Pragmatic Play’s Queen of Gods (3 June) after finishing in 14th place.
The iGaming Tracker has changed its methodology of data collection and grading of games since October 2020 to give a fairer and broader reflection of the rankings.
Games are ranked by their position throughout the month on more than 500 of the largest casino sites in Europe. Only the ‘main’ page of the casinos is taken into account and the top 10 most prominent positions on those pages.
The previous number of sites the iGaming Tracker took into account was just 50.
The iGaming Tracker compiles the slots rankings by tracking casino sites across more than 25 European countries including the UK, Sweden, Germany, Italy, Norway and Denmark.
Each casino page is tracked every day over the month as well as which game occupies each position. Each position is weighted so the top positions on the page have a higher weighting than those on the bottom of the page.
Likewise, the pages, sites and countries are weighted to give a fairer view on the success of casino games.
Table games such as roulette and blackjack are excluded from the rankings, as are live casino games.
