
Slots Tracker: NetEnt claims H1 dominance as Pragmatic Play beats Play’n GO into second
Starburst once again leads the chasing pack as Play’n GO and Pragmatic Play battle it out for best of the rest


NetEnt’s Starburst made it a H1 sweep atop the EGR Slots Tracker after once again taking the gold medal position in June.
The slot remains the title to beat after rising to first place in January 2023.
There was a shakeup in the chasing pack as perennial challenger Book of Dead by Play’n GO slipped into third place after it was leapfrogged by Pragmatic Play’s Big Bass Bonanza.
Stablemate Sweet Bonanza jumped up two places in June to finish in fourth.
Elsewhere, Play’n GO’s Legacy of Dead stormed from 12th place in May to finish in sixth while Pragmatic Play’s Gates of Olympus fell from fourth to seventh.
In terms of biggest movers, Blueprint Gaming’s Fishin’ Frenzy The Big Splash leapt from 104th in May to 15th place in June.
Playson’s Burning Winds moved up 17 spots to finish in 14th while Eyecon’s Fluffy Favourites jumped six places to finish in eighth.
Playson’s Luxor Gold Hold And Win, previously in 10th place, was the highest-ranking title from May to fall out of the rankings.
Elsewhere, data revealed the the top-ranking new slots released since 1 April 2023.
Blueprint Gaming’s Fishin’ Frenzy The Big Splash took top spot in June following its 27 April release.
Playson’s Coin Strike Hold and Win (27 April release) and Amazing Link Hades by SpinPlay Games (13 June release) took the silver and bronze medals, respectively, in the new games rankings.
Area Vegas Games’ Gold Rush Express was the title with the latest release date (22 June) to secure a spot in the top 20.
In January 2023, EGR added a new data partner, eGaming Monitor (EGM), to track casino sites and help collate the monthly rankings.
EGM tracks game pages of more than 2,400 casino sites globally, with the European charts being based on the number of game tiles found for each game across operator sites in regulated markets.
EGM limits its tracking to just the main casino homepage of each site, with the tracker taking in slots, instants, scratch cards, slingo and crash games but excluding table games, live games, video poker, video bingo and others.
In June, EGM tracked 12,222 games from 384 studios in 25 European regulated markets including the UK, Italy, Spain, Germany and the Netherlands.
