Slots Tracker: Light & Wonder closes out 2022 with December rankings’ top spot
Final slots table of the year sees top two remain unchanged as slots giants look to regroup

The final slots rankings of 2022 ended the same way as the first, with a Light & Wonder slot occupying the summit, in this case the seemingly unassailable 88 Fortunes.
In an order which has continued unabated since 2021, 88 Fortunes led the way, just ahead of a slots game from its nearest rival IGT, with December seeing Cash Eruption continuing its tenure in second spot.
Thanks to a four-place drop for the IGT Cleopatra slot, Fortune Coin jumped into the bronze medal position, just ahead of ReelPlay’s Hypernova Megaways which slinked into fourth spot.
Light & Wonder’s Terrific Tiger Coin Combo climbed from ninth spot in November to a top-six position in fifth, ahead of Evolution – Big Time Gaming’s Bonanza and the aforementioned Cleopatra slot.
In tandem with the top two, Light & Wonder’s Jin Ji Bao Xi Endless Treasure was the only other slot to retain its position during December, keeping hold of the eighth spot.
Positions nine to 20 were a sea of change during December, with sole new entrant, Light & Wonder’s Cash Falls Pirates Trove, jumping into the rankings at 10.
Re-entrants to the slots rankings also figured highly during December, with Evolution – NetEnt’s Fruit Shop Christmas, IGT’s Wheel of Fortune Triple Extreme Spin, and Evolution – NetEnt’s Secrets of Christmas returning in 12th, 13th, and 14th, respectively.
And of course, as re-entrants come in, there are always those that lose out. This month it was the turn of Light & Wonder’s Dancing Drums Prosperity, dropping three places, and Everi’s Cash Machine, which fell two.
However, December’s two biggest fallers were IGT’s Cats slot and Light & Wonder’s Carnival Cow Coin Combo, which both fell five places to 16th and 19th, respectively.
A total of 27 sites were scrutinized as part of the November tri-state sample, including 131 webpages and 1,822 games.
Games are ranked by their position throughout the month across all online casino sites in New Jersey, Michigan, and Pennsylvania. Only the ‘main’ page of the casino is taken into account and the top 20 most prominent positions on those pages.
The ranking is calculated as the total number of hours the game was in the top 20 positions throughout the month. Each casino page is tracked at least once every 24 hours. Table games such as roulette and blackjack are excluded from the rankings, as are live casino games.
