Slots Tracker: IGT slots switch places in October rankings as Light & Wonder looks set to close out 2022 in top spot
88 Fortunes maintains seemingly unassailable position as Cleopatra and Fortune Coin jockey for silver and bronze medal positions
Moving into October, Light & Wonder’s 88 Fortunes continued its stay at the summit of iGaming Tracker’s US Slots Rankings, dominance which seems set to continue until the end of 2022.
The 10th iteration of the rankings yielded no change to the top spot, however IGT’s Fortune Coin and Cleopatra switched positions in the top three during the Halloween month.
This transposing of positions also extended as far as spots four and five, with ReelPlay’s HyperNova MegaWays and IGT’s Cash Eruption holding their own game of musical chairs during October.
In contrast, positions six to eight remained the same during the month, with Evolution-NetEnt’s Divine Fortune, Light & Wonder’s Carnival Cow Coin Combo, and IGT’s Cats retaining their September ranks.
The biggest winner was Light & Wonder’s Jin Ji Bao Xi Endless Treasure, which rose five places from 14th position to ninth in October, a rise mirrored by IGT’s Lucky Larry’s Lobstermania 2 which also jumped five places.
Falling four places from 16th to the bottom of the iGaming Tracker US Slots Rankings in October was IGT’s Da Vinci Diamonds, the biggest fall of any supplier during the month.
Other slots experiencing rankings dips during the month were Evolution’s Big Time Gaming’s Bonanza, IGT’s Cleopatra Gold, High5Games’s Green Machine Supreme, and Light & Wonder’s Chicken Fox.
October’s rankings were graced by Light & Wonder’s Lightning Horseman, which re-entered the top 20, and the month’s sole new entrant Light & Wonder’s Lightning Gorilla, continuing the lightning theme.
A total of 28 sites were scrutinized as part of the October tri-state sample, including 138 webpages and 1,346 games.
Games are ranked by their position throughout the month across all online casino sites in New Jersey, Michigan, and Pennsylvania. Only the ‘main’ page of the casino is taken into account and the top 20 most prominent positions on those pages.
The ranking is calculated as the total number of hours the game was in the top 20 positions throughout the month. Each casino page is tracked at least once every 24 hours. Table games such as roulette and blackjack are excluded from the rankings, as are live casino games.
