Slots Tracker: Business as usual for Light & Wonder as fall dawns with no change in slots rankings
Unshakeable top three slots maintain stranglehold in September as four others make return
September’s slots rankings yielded little change as Light & Wonder’s 88 Fortunes led a seemingly unassailable top-three slots in iGaming Tracker’s US Slots Rankings.
Building on its move into the top three in August, IGT’s Cleopatra maintained its second place, while the same operator’s Fortune Coin also held its third place spot in September.
IGT’s Cash Eruption, a sixth place slot in August, rose two places to fourth in September at the expense of ReelPlay’s HyperNova Megaways and Evolution-NetEnt’s Divine Fortune, which both dropped a place lower than their August ranking respectively.
Also retaining their August positions were IGT’s Cats, Evolution’s Bonanza, and Light & Wonder’s Jin Ji Bao Xi Endless Treasure.
The biggest winner in September was Light & Wonder’s Carnival Cow Coin Combo, which rocketed eight places from 15th in August to seventh in September.
Prominent fallers during the month were IGT’s Wheel of Fortune Extreme Spin, Light & Wonder’s Chicken Fox, IGT’s Cleopatra Gold and Everi’s Cash Machine.
September saw two slots make their debut: High5Games Green Machine Supreme, which claimed 12th position and Evolution-NetEnt’s Silverback Gold, which could only manage a lowly 19th.
Making their return to the slots rankings in September after a period of absence were an IGT triumvirate of Da Vinci Diamonds, Triple Diamond and Lucky Larrys Lobstermania 2.
The last re-entrant in September, Evolution-NetEnt’s Mercy of the Gods propped up the rankings table in 20th position.
A total of 28 sites were scrutinized as part of the September tri-state sample, including 138 webpages and 1,346 games.
Games are ranked by their position throughout the month across all online casino sites in New Jersey, Michigan, and Pennsylvania. Only the ‘main’ page of the casinos is taken into account and the top 20 most prominent positions on those pages.
The ranking is calculated as the total number of hours the game was in the top 20 positions throughout the month. Each casino page is tracked at least once every 24 hours. Table games such as roulette and blackjack are excluded from the rankings, as are live casino games.
