Optimove Insights’ latest iGaming Pulse examined European igaming player activity over the past 12 months, uncovering trends across Greece, Italy, Spain and the UK, with an average of 6.3 million active players per month.
The analysis reveals Greece as the consistent leader in average deposit amounts. While Italy and Spain experienced moderate fluctuations, the UK remained stable but had the lowest deposit averages throughout the period.

Despite slight declines in February, Greece maintains a clear lead, reinforcing its position as the strongest market in terms of player deposit behaviour.

Spain emerges as the leader in average bet amounts. Greece remained competitive, occasionally approaching Spain’s figures, while Italy experienced a notable decline in recent months. The UK maintained steady but lower averages throughout the period.

Spain and Greece emerge as the consistent leaders in average sports bet amounts. Italy, which has maintained a mid-tier position, experienced a notable 15% decline in February, while the UK remained the lowest among the four countries.
