Optimove iGaming Pulse Report May 2024: Deposits per player up ahead of summer of sport

Optimove’s iGaming Pulse detected a significant increase in deposits per active player during May ahead of extensive sporting schedule lined up for this summer.

Sports betting deposits rose 15%, and casino deposits increased 11%, both reaching 13-month highs. Compared to May 2023, these figures have surged remarkably from 9.6 to 12 for sports betting and 11.5 to 14 for casinos.

Could this be the impact of the eagerly anticipated summer of sports, featuring Euro 2024, Copa America 2024 and the Summer Olympic Games in Paris? The spike is evident across various regions, with Chile recording a 13.5% increase, the UK seeing a 25% rise, France up 16% and Nigeria experiencing a 17.1% boost.
