Optimove iGaming Pulse: UK mobile bet rate up 41% YoY
In a monthly column, Optimove shares the latest insights from its iGaming Pulse Report looking at how casino and sports KPIs performed in February 2022

The Covid-19 pandemic is, for all intents and purposes, over. In the UK, that is. How do we know? The government announced the lifting of all restrictions during the month of February, it was all over the news. But that’s not all, we’re looking at the mobile bet rate in the UK and comparing it to February 2021, at the height of lockdown. We’re seeing a whopping 41% increase YoY and back to pre-pandemic levels. Locked in, players ditched mobile betting and changed their go-to betting device. As more restrictions were lifted and outdoor life accepted again, players returned to mobile betting. If our smartphone use is any indication of “normality”, then life in the UK is some 40% more normal than the same time last year.
