Oddschecker insights: April data reveals Grand National record as bet365 dominates clicks
Betway offered the tightest pricing on this year’s race with an overround of 151.6% after bet365’s cashback offer went down a storm with punters

This year’s Grand National saw another record broken at oddschecker, as new customer registration volumes hit their highest level versus any historic Grand National Saturday, and marked their second highest day ever, just behind the Monday on the eve of this year’s Cheltenham Festival in March.
Meanwhile, racing fans witnessed a moment of history at this year’s edition of the Grand National, as Rachael Blackmore guided Minella Times to land the world-famous steeplechase and become the first female jockey to do so.
Minella Times returned at odds of 11/1 and even though the eight-year-old was one of the more-fancied runners in the race, it saved the bookmakers from a bigger pay-out as clear favourite Cloth Cap did not complete the course after pulling up.
Away from the track, oddschecker’s partners jostled for a share of clicks in the buildup to the biggest race of the year. Betway offered the tightest pricing for the race, with an overround of 151.6%, allowing the bookmaker to achieve a top-10 position in the clickshare ranking of Grand National markets. Elsewhere, BoyleSports offered the standout place terms (7), which enabled the operator to also comfortably sit within the top-10 click ranking.
Bet365 has been omitted from this analysis due to the huge proportion of clicks that they were able to accumulate (~50%), no doubt supported by their money-back each-way cashback offer up to a maximum of £125, but Unibet were able to grab second spot with 12.6% of clicks.
Bet365 delivered the highest share of clicks since the report first began across both football and racing in April.
