Oddschecker insights: Bet365 the best of the bookies at Royal Ascot once again

Bet365 retained its Oddschecker clickshare crown at Royal Ascot after the online giant dominated the market once again.
The Stoke-on-Trent-based firm netted 29.4% of clickshare over the week, well ahead of William Hill (14.7%) in second place.
Despite bet365’s dominance, it did suffer a slight dip in clickshare from 2022 when it stood at 31.1%.
This was a trend across a vast majority of the bookmakers on the Oddschecker grid, with Hills falling from 18% in 2022 and Sky Bet dipping from 9.1% to 8.7% as it remained in third place.
Paddy Power kept its position in fourth, although its clickshare did drop from 7.4% to 6.3%.

Elsewhere, BoyleSports had an impressive week after jumping up the rankings to secure the fifth-largest clickshare.
The Irish firm finished in ninth place in 2022 with a clickshare of 2.4% but saw this figure leap to 4.6% at this year’s meet.
The operator replaced Betfair in fifth place after the Flutter Entertainment-owned brand slipped to sixth as its clickshare dropped from 5.5% to 3.7%.
Other big movers include LeoVegas-owned BetUK which stormed into the top 10 to finish in seventh place with a corresponding clickshare of 3.6%.
Betfred moved up three places to ninth as clickshare increased from 2% to 3%.
The Warrington-based firm’s clickshare was bolstered by a top performing acquisition offer, which saw customers bet £10 and get £40 in bonuses. Betfred also boasted a 91% registration to first-time-depositor conversion rate in June.

On the turf, Oddschecker noted the average winner at the festival clocked in at 19/1, resulting in healthy margins for the operators.
Average overall festival starting prices was almost eight points higher than any other Royal Ascot in the last five years.
Looking at June as a whole, new addition to the grid BetGoodwin saw its acquisition soar 78% compared to May. The horseracing-first online brand, which launched last year, sits between Ladbrokes and Parimatch on the matrix.
Other monthly movers include Sky Bet, increasing its overall clickshare by 2.4 percentage points, while BetVictor improved its betshare by 2.6 percentage points.
On socials, Oddschecker noted 1.6 million unique site users in the UK and Ireland, while the group’s WhoScored.com brand boasted 1.4 million unique site users worldwide.
