
Oddschecker Cheltenham insights: Sky Bet rebounds after poor Wednesday
Leeds-headquartered firm takes 16.5% of racing clicks on Thursday , closely behind bet365


Sky Bet took 16.5% of all racing clicks through Oddschecker, good for second in the market, and marking a return to form after a poor Wednesday.
The Leeds-headquartered operator was sixth in clickshare on Wednesday with just 7.5% of clicks, although Oddschecker said it was unable to pinpoint a specific reason for the downturn.
Sky Bet has had an eventful week after topping the App Store download list, ahead of WhatsApp and Instagram, in part thanks to its cash back offer on the first race.

However the operator has removed Best Odds Guaranteed on the first race today and inflated overround to around 150%, presumably to limit the damage from the offer.
Elsewhere, Oddschecker reported that bet365 continued to dominate overall racing clickshare with 17.2%, with Paddy Power in third at 8.9%, closely followed by William Hill. BetVictor was in fifth.
Betfair and Paddy Power paid 6 places on the Pertemps, which served them well, getting both brands into the top three for the race.
It was not enough to beat Bet365 however, which claimed 19.5% of clicks, with Paddy Power second at 11.5% and Betfair third at 10.3%.
For the Championship Race, the Sun Racing Stayers’ Hurdle, bet365 offered the tightest overround at 110.8% and out forged a huge gap between themselves and the next best for click share, with 18.1%, compared to BetVictor in second with 8.1% and Paddy Power in third at 7.5%.
Cherry brand ComeOn! had the best-performing offer on the day closely followed by Grosvenor with its respective Bet £10 get £30 offers.
