Trio of operators join Swedish trade body BOS
Association’s secretary general welcomes the “energy” the three new members will bring as it looks to tackle threats to the integrity of Sweden’s gambling market

The Swedish Trade Association for Online Gambling (BOS) has secured three new members in BetConstruct, SkillOnNet and Myntet.
The addition of the trio means BOS now counts more than 20 members in its ranks, having been established in 2012.
BetConstruct has held a licence to operate in Sweden since June 2020, which was granted by the Swedish Gambling Authority (SGA).
That licence enabled BetConstruct to establish sports betting and casino operations in the region via its VBET brand.
The company also acquired a B2B licence via the SGA in June 2023, ensuring BetConstruct could also offer its range of solutions to other licensed operators in the Swedish market.
BetConstruct bosses highlighted that its status as a BOS member represents its latest step to help strengthen the growth and integrity of Sweden’s sports betting and igaming market.
Shacke Manukyan, head of compliance at BetConstruct, explained: “This membership allows us to collaborate with key industry stakeholders to promote responsible gaming, innovation and a fair competitive environment in Sweden.
“We look forward to contributing our expertise and working together to shape the future of the Swedish gambling industry.”
Gustaf Hoffstedt, BOS secretary general, echoed a similar sentiment, adding that BetConstruct’s new membership allows the trade body to gain an insight from both a supplier and operator perspective.
“We are all delighted to welcome BetConstruct to the BOS family,” he remarked. “BetConstruct’s importance in Sweden has increased in recent years and we look forward to taking part in their commitment.
“Thanks to BetConstruct, we are also strengthening the association’s expertise not only in the business-to-consumer area, but also as a game supplier.”
Meanwhile, SkillOnNet has followed suit and also secured status as a BOS member.
The group boasts 12 licences across the world and has several brands operating within Sweden, including online casino duo PlayOJO and Casino RedKings.
Like BetConstruct, SkillOnNet also holds a B2B licence for the Swedish market and has done so since March 2022.
BOS chief Hoffstedt used confirmation of SkillOnNet’s addition to the association as a chance to stress the importance of representing as many legal operators as possible to ensure the sustainability of the Swedish regulated market.
“Whether the gambling market in Sweden will be sustainable in the long term or not will largely be determined by whether the industry succeeds in speaking with a united voice,” he explained.
“Then both authorities and legislators listen. If we are to succeed in this, we must represent as many licensed gambling companies as possible. It is therefore with great pleasure that I note that SkillOnNet has been accepted as the association’s latest member.”
Maor Nutkevitch, SkillOnNet’s head of corporate development, added: “Collaboration between operators, regulators and policymakers is key to ensuring a healthy market that benefits both players and operators alike.
“We really look forward to working alongside BOS and its members to help drive positive developments in the Swedish online gaming sector.”
Elsewhere, Myntet is the third operator in a week to be announced as a new BOS member.
The SGA-licensed firm has established a presence in the region via its online casino brand Klirr.com.
Hoffstedt has noted that those behind Myntet serve as an inspiration to the association. He remarks: “Myntet is run by entrepreneurs who have established one successful gambling company after another in the Swedish gambling market.
“BOS is inspired by the entrepreneurial ability of the founders, and it is important that entrepreneurship and innovation are enabled within the Swedish licensing system.”
Reflecting on the fact BOS has confirmed three new operator members in the space of just one week, Hoffstedt explained that it provides the trade body with the “energy” to tackle current and future challenges in the Swedish market.
Last month, the Swedish government confirmed it would conduct a review into its gambling market following pressure from BOS.
The trade body outlined its stance that it is currently too easy for black market operators to target Swedish players.
In turn, the state of the market will be evaluated six years after it was re-regulated.
