Our industry has a thing about acronyms. From CPAs and CRM to AML and FTDs, we don’t just write code, but we also seem to converse in it.

In such a rapidly changing igaming landscape, where regulation and product focus can pivot in the blink of an eye, an effective PAM must, without fail, be four things: fast, robust, scalable and adaptable, enabling operators to not only keep up but also surpass their rivals with sufficient flexibility to add new features, new markets and technologies faster than anyone else.

Business continuity and keeping services running without interruption is crucial to any world-class operation, so a good PAM needs to be resilient and minimise downtime.

Operators also need to adjust their services to meet different customer needs, therefore an effective PAM needs to be flexible and provide the tools to customise functionality without overhauling the entire system.

• Decoupling our systems and building separate failure domains, meaning if one component fails, it doesn’t bring down the entire system. If something happens, we can experience partial failures without affecting the overall service.

• High performance and scalability inherently contribute to the system’s resilience. A system that can handle high loads efficiently is less likely to fail under stress.

• We build redundancy into critical components, so there are backup systems in place. This fault tolerance ensures operations continue smoothly even if a component fails.

• We have disaster recovery plans, including data back-ups and recovery procedures, to quickly restore services in the event of a major failure.
