LeoVegas Group brings online sportsbook to German market
Operator increases foothold in its fourth European market with online slots already available to players

LeoVegas Group has launched its online sports betting product in Germany, having been granted a licence last year.
The operator already offers online slots through the LeoVegas.de website and has now added its sportsbook to that offering.
The product will be available in all 16 German states, “strengthening the foothold in Germany”, the operator said in a statement.
Alongside the sportsbook launch, LeoVegas Group will release an omnichannel marketing campaign titled “Thrill Seeker” across TV and affiliate networks starting in December.
The company statement included the announcement of the campaign, noting it will “humorously showcase how to add excitement and unexpected twists to the monotony of everyday life”.
Gustaf Hagman, LeoVegas Group CEO, said “Launching our sportsbook offering in Germany is a very exciting step for LeoVegas Group as we continue to grow and strengthen our foothold.
“Germany is one of Europe’s great sports powerhouses, and we are confident players will enjoy LeoVegas.de as a one-stop shop for the greatest igaming experience.”
The German launch follows recent expansion for LeoVegas, via its BetMGM brand, into the Swedish and Dutch markets in October and April 2024, respectively.
LeoVegas is currently available in four European markets, having first launched in the UK in August 2023.
The brand’s debut in the UK aligned with significant advertising spend, including tapping Hollywood actor Chris Rock to front a glitzy TV and online ad campaign.
BetMGM has since penned sponsorship deals with the Premier League’s Newcastle United, Wolves and Tottenham.
