XDA launches new VC fund for gambling and fintech startups
Newly launched Accelerate Program looks to connect new businesses to a “vast network of industry experts and the opportunity for direct investment”

XDA has launched a new investment vehicle designed to help startup businesses in the gambling and fintech industries.
The Accelerate Program will look to offer new companies in each sector with networking opportunities, providing startups with a direct route to potential direct investment.
The firm has said it will also “exclusively utilise its own funds” for the platform, and has encouraged startups from the wider public to apply for funding and infrastructure access.
The company stressed that successful applicants will gain “invaluable industry connections” as well as investment.
XDA founder and CEO Andria Evripidou, who boasts previous banking expertise at Revolut, said that the fund launch is helping to build on the hard work already done by XDA behind the scenes.
Evripidou revealed XDA had already “invested informally” in several businesses that have gone to achieve “significant success”.
She said: “We’ve seen first-hand how transformative early investment and strategic guidance can be for startups in fintech and gaming.
“With the launch of our Accelerate Program, we are formalising what we’ve done successfully behind the scenes for years and opening the door to even more innovation.”
Founded in 2023, the Malta-based company specialises in providing crypto and banking solutions for companies in the igaming sector.
XDA’s last investment came back in May, injecting funds into Maltese football club Zurrieq FC.
Back in November 2023, the company appointed industry investor Julian Buhagiar as a non-executive director.
The launch of the Accelerate Program from XDA follows the unveiling of Defy the Odds, a startup launchpad formed by Paris Smith, Kelly Kehn and Sue Schneider.
Xanada Investments has also further bolstered its investment portfolio after backing Gamixter this month.
