
Former Sportradar head launches $20m VC fund
Ixia Capital, led by former Sportradar exec Mona Motwani, will look to boost 25 startups across various sectors over the next five years

Ixia Capital has launched a $20m (£15.8) investment fund targeting businesses across the igaming, esports, digital assets and technology sectors.
The fund will look to boost up to 25 startup businesses across those designated industries in the next five years.
The VC, which is being led by former Sportradar head Mona Matwani, is targeting business in India, Africa and the UAE, while the fund is based in the Cayman Islands.
Mona Motwani, Ixia Capital CEO, said: “It’s a proud moment for us to officially launch Ixia Capital.
Motwani worked for Sportradar for six years between 2017 and 2023.
After serving as Sportradar’s director of integrity services for India from 2017 to 2020, she moved to director of sports content, partnerships and integrity before being appointed head of sports partnerships and government relations in 2023.
Ixia Capital also includes Ixia Studio, a venture studio arm, that is in the process of launching six new products.
Those include FasFas Games, a sports NFT trading exchange, a loyalty reward platform, a thought leadership platform, and a sports coverage and games engagement app.
