NeoGames promotes industry stalwart to ilottery MD role
Christopher Shaban spent 24 years with IGT before moving to supplier in 2021 as firm continues restructuring process

NeoGames has promoted Christopher Shaban to managing director (MD) of ilottery as the firm continues to restructure ahead of its acquisition by Aristrocrat later this year.
Shaban first moved to the supplier in 2021 as EVP of global business and customer development for the firm’s ilottery division.
Prior to that, he spent 24 years with IGT in several roles. Initially joining in April 1997 as director of government relations and US sales, he spent six-and-a-half years in the position before moving on to become vice-president of global government relations.
A further three years in that role was followed by a promotion to general manager of the California division in September 2006, a position he held for more than two years.
Another change came in January 2009 when Shaban was appointed as vice-president of US sales and business development. He remained in the position for five years.
Shaban began his final role with IGT in March 2014 as regional vice-president of operations, before leaving for NeoGames in June 2021.
Prior to joining the igaming industry, Shaban worked on former US president George HW Bush’s presidential campaign in 1988.
In his new position, Shaban will be tasked with overseeing all of NeoGames’ ilottery activity, including customer growth, new business and the firm’s in-house game studio, NeoGames Studio.
Moti Malul, NeoGames CEO, spoke highly of Shaban’s reputation in the industry as he welcomed him to the group.
Malul said: “Chris is hugely respected within the lottery industry and his track record speaks for itself. I am thrilled about his appointment and look forward to seeing him drive us forward in our ilottery business.”
On his promotion, Shaban added: “It has been a few wonderful years with NeoGames and I am excited to continue in this new role as managing director for ilottery.
“Working together with the extremely talented people in our company, we are poised to expand our efforts under Aristocrat to best support our global lottery customers on their interactive journey.”
Shaban’s appointment follows Jonathan Chilton being named MD of NeoGames’ subsidiary Aspire Global earlier this week.
