Optimove iGaming Pulse Report - March 2024: US new players peak during March Madness

New players are drawn to peak events like March Madness, where they join in the excitement with small bets. Optimove Pulse, aggregating anonymous betting patterns and player behaviour data from over 200 global operators, shows March Madness displayed similar behaviour. Pulse has recorded a significant surge in FTDs beginning in September and coinciding with the start of the NFL season.

This surge reached its peak in March, likely driven by the March Madness tournament, and peaking at 3.2 times higher than August levels when there were no peak events. The March peak surpassed other significant events like the NFL season kick off and the Super Bowl.
