Former BVGroup head moves to Glitnor Group as COO of B2C
Mel Camilleri-Bland replaces outgoing Cameron Brown to oversee operations for LuckyCasino and HappyCasino

Glitnor Group has named former BVGroup and William Hill head Mel Camilleri-Bland as the firm’s new chief operations officer (COO) for its B2C arm.
Camilleri-Bland joins the Malta-based business after spending almost seven years with BVGroup across a series of roles.
She originally joined the BetVictor parent company in April 2017 as head of B2B brands before several promotions saw her eventually named group director of compliance in October 2021.
Camilleri-Bland cut her teeth in the industry with William Hill in June 2013 as head of service delivery. She later became director of customer operations in October 2014.
In her new role of COO of B2C at Glitnor, Camilleri-Bland will oversee operations for the LuckyCasino and HappyCasino brands.
She replaces outgoing COO Cameron Brown, with the exec set to leave Glitnor after more than three years of services.
Brown, a former LeoVegas Group, Betsson and Casumo head, joined Glitnor in January 2021 as head of CRM before being made head of customer operations in May 2022.
He stepped up to the company’s C-suite in January 2023 when named COO.
Camilleri-Bland’s appointment follows the arrival of former Gaming Innovation Group (GiG) boss Richard Brown as Glitnor CEO earlier this year.
Touching on her new role, Camilleri-Bland said: “Having spent over a decade-and-a-half in the igaming industry working in various management, consultancy and customer service roles across multiple continents, I’m delighted to now be able to utilise my expertise on the B2C side of Glitnor Group.
“The team we have here is already amazing and I sincerely hope that the skills and industry know-how that I’ve accumulated over the past 15 years can add another dimension to that as we look to take things to a whole new level in 2024 and beyond,” she added.
David Schwieler, Glitnor Group head of brands and business, said: “While I’d like to take the opportunity to thank our outgoing COO, Cameron Brown, for everything he’s helped Glitnor achieve during his time in the role, in Mel Camilleri-Bland, we think we’ve found the perfect successor to continue his legacy.”
