Slots Tracker: Pragmatic Play on the way to dominance with a one-two finish in January
Big Bass Splash rises from outside the podium to sit alongside stablemate Big Bass Bonanza at the top of the slot rankings as Starburst hangs on to third

Pragmatic Play’s Big Bass Bonanza retained its top place in the EGR Slots Tracker for January as stablemate Big Bass Splash leapt from fourth to second place.
The studio’s growing dominance in the rankings saw three of its titles land in the top four, with NetEnt’s Starburst sitting in third ahead of Pragmatic Play’s Sweet Bonanza.
Gates of Olympus jumped one place in January to fifth place while Sugar Rush moved from eighth to sixth to ensure five Pragmatic Play games landed in the top six.
Away from Pragmatic Play’s dominance, there were some new entrants into the top 10, with Fluffy Favourites by Eyecon rising six places to ninth.
9 Pots of Gold by Gameburger Studios moved up seven places to finish in 10th while Gold Blitz by Fortune Factory Studios pushed into eighth after a 10th place finish in December.
Three slots made huge leaps in January, with the most significant being Gold Blitz Extreme by Fortune Factory Studios, which shot up a massive 136 places from 153rd in the rankings to 17th.
The other big mover in the rankings was Fire And Roses Joker by Triple Edge Gaming, which rose 51 places from 70th to 19th.
Finally, Skywind Group’s Vinci La Gallina Deluxe snatched a 20th place finish after moving up 42 places in January.
Play’n GO’s Legacy of Dead was the highest-ranking title in December (ninth) to fall out of the top 20 completely.
Elsewhere, analysed data did reveal the top-ranking new slots released since the beginning of November.
The top-ranking new slot was Gold Blitz Extreme after a 20 December release date, with Pragmatic Play’s Gates of Olympus 1000 (14 December) and Sugar Rush Xmas (30 November) taking the remaining medal positions.
In fact, Pragmatic Play also dominated the new release top 10 rankings, with five titles coming from the firm.
Additionally, the studio’s Castle of Fire was the title with the latest release date (11 January) to secure a spot in the top 20.
EGR added eGaming Monitor (EGM) as a new data partner in January 2023 to track casino sites and assist in the compilation of monthly rankings.
EGM monitors game pages for over 3,000 casino sites worldwide, with the European charts based on the number of game tiles found for each game across operator sites in regulated countries.
EGM only tracks the main casino webpage of each site, with the tracker including slots, instants, scratch cards, slingo, and crash games but not table games, live games, video poker, video bingo, or others.
In January, EGM tracked 14,486 games from 408 studios across 29 European regulated markets, including the United Kingdom, Italy, Spain, Germany and the Netherlands.
