DraftKings SVP of commercial confirms departure
Former SBTech exec Andrew Cochrane heads for the exit after more than three years in key role with Boston-based operator

DraftKings SVP of commercial Andrew Cochrane has departed the US giant after three-and-a-half years.
Cochrane shifted to DraftKings’ senior team following its acquisition of supplier SBTech and subsequent public listing.
Cochrane joined SBTech in July 2017 as the group’s chief commercial officer before being named chief business development officer in January 2019.
He played a key role in the SPAC merger between DraftKings, SBTech and Diamond Eagle Acquisition Corp.
His time at DraftKings has coincided with the giant’s continued growth as it battles FanDuel for US online sports betting supremacy.
The former Sporting Solutions head also had a spell with Inspired Gaming earlier in his igaming career.
Taking to LinkedIn, Cochrane confirmed he would be returning to the B2B side of the industry as he took the opportunity to give his thanks to DraftKings.
He said: “It’s time for me to move on from DraftKings, and rather than doing a Harry Kane and saying my goodbyes and one hour later posting about my new role in a different shirt, I thought I would give DraftKings the credit they deserve and separate the two.
“It has been a rewarding journey with great memories of signing ground-breaking partnerships and I’ve had the opportunity to work with some of the most exceptional people in the industry,” he added.
