Bede Gaming adds ex-The Stars Group exec as CTO
Supplier names Dan Whiteley as chief technology officer with role vacant since Andy Wardle’s departure in April

Bede Gaming has added to its executive team with the appointment of Dan Whiteley as chief technology officer (CTO).
Whiteley joins the company’s virtual meetings platform, Jugo, where he served as CTO from June 2021 until April this year.
He previously spent 19 months with The Stars Group in Leeds as director of software engineering.
Whiteley also served as CTO for fintech firm Equiniti between January 2015 and June 2019
He replaces Andy Wardle, who departed Bede in April 2023. Whiteley began working as CTO on 3 July.
In his new role, Whiteley will use his vast knowledge in building high-performing and scalable solutions to solidify Bede Gaming’s operations and growth strategy.
Whiteley’s appointment marks the latest senior addition for the supplier after it named Colin Cole-Johnson as CEO in March 2022 and Kirsty Stewart as chief legal and client services officer in February 2023.
Speaking on his appointment, Bede’s new CTO said he was eager to deliver the company’s cutting-edge technology to the wider igaming market.
Whiteley said: “I’m proud to become part of Bede’s journey. It’s a company with proven strength in engineering excellence and the potential to build upon Bede’s current capabilities is an exciting prospect. I’m looking forward to working with the team to deliver cutting-edge technology for the igaming market.”
CEO Cole-Johnson added: “We’re thrilled to welcome Dan to the team. As CTO, he will be pivotal in driving our technology strategy, collaborating with all teams across the business to ensure Bede is an industry leader in innovative and cutting-edge solutions.
“He will be an integral part of Bede operations, both internally and externally, and his extensive experience in technology leadership makes him an excellent fit for this role.”
