Exclusive: Superbet names ex-William Hill chief as COO in C-suite reshuffle
Romanian operator also adds new CFO and taps ex-Google head for newly created chief business development officer position

Superbet has reshuffled its senior leadership team with a new COO, CFO and chief business development officer, EGR can exclusively reveal.
The Romanian operator has elected to shift up its top team as it looks towards an IPO and continued international expansion over the coming months.
Firstly, former William Hill International CEO Stephen Parry has joined the company as COO.
Parry, who also spent time as Hills’ COO and as chief integration officer at Flutter Entertainment, will lead a brand new hub at Superbet which will include retail, trading, and business operations.
Parry replaces Marcello Magaletti as COO, with the Italian set to remain close to the company in a non-executive advisory role.
Secondly, Superbet has named former Mothercare and IWG chief Glyn Hughes as the group’s new CFO.
The ex-KPMG head has also spent time with Tesco, The Dairy Farm Group and B&Q during his career. Hughes will replace former CFO Sean Wilkins.
Finally, former Google exec Andrei Dușu has been named as chief business development officer in a newly created position at Superbet.
The Romanian will be responsible for leading across M&A, international expansion, business intelligence and strategy for Superbet.
Dușu is also the co-founder of Flawless, an AI-powered support product for business operations teams.
The trio will all report into Superbet CEO Johnny Hartnett.
Speaking on the appointments, Hartnett said: “As we embark on the next stage of our growth journey, it is incredibly exciting to add experienced and capable leaders like Stephen, Andrei and Glyn to the Superbet management team.
“Their experience across a range of sectors and geographies means they will be a critical part of executing our ambition – to take the business from our home in CEE to the rest of Europe and beyond,” he added.
