Sacha Dragic replaced as Superbet chair ahead of IPO
Ex-Deezer CEO Hans-Holger Albrecht to supplant the Serbian at the end of February with company founder to remain on the board

Superbet chairman Sacha Dragic is set to be replaced by former Deezer CEO Hans-Holger Albrecht ahead of the group’s future public listing.
Albrecht will replace the Serbian with effect from 28 February.
Superbet founder Dragic will remain a member of the board at the Romanian operator in a significant shift for the firm.
Dragic stepped up to become chairman of the company after he appointed former Flutter Entertainment head Johnny Hartnett as CEO.
Superbet said the arrival of Albrecht was in line with the group’s intention to pursue a future public listing.
In an exclusive interview, Dragic told EGR he expects the company to go public before the end of 2025 and will list on a Western European exchange.
Albrecht currently serves as chair of the board at online real estate platform Scout24 Group and at audiobook firm Storytel.
Albrecht previously served as CEO for music streaming platform Deezer between February 2015 and July 2021.
He also held CEO positions at Tigo/Millicom International and Modern Times Group before joining Deezer.
Speaking on the changing of the guard, Dragic said: “I am delighted to welcome Hans-Holger as chairman. His appointment follows an extensive and thorough search process, through which we are convinced that we identified Hans-Holger as the standout candidate.
“His in-depth financial knowledge and governance expertise will be of great benefit to the group and our ambitions to become a publicly listed company.”
Albrecht added: “Superbet presents an exciting opportunity in terms of its growth trajectory and continued expansion plans. I have been impressed by the ambitions of the company, the responsible approach to its customers and the high level of innovation and entrepreneurship shown by the team.”
Additionally, Ralph Topping will retain his advisory role at the firm having previously indicated he would step down once Dragic was replaced as chair.
The former William Hill CEO will instead remain as an adviser throughout 2023 and will work closely with Dragic in developing new gaming ventures in 2024 via the Superbet Ventures arm.
