
Gambling.com Group acquires Casinos.com
Affiliate heavyweight to deliver specific casino content to complement sports betting offering


Gambling.com Group has acquired the domain name Casinos.com as it looks to expand outside of its traditional sports betting scope.
The Nasdaq-listed affiliate will launch a site this year with an initial focus on the US, UK, Ireland, Canada and New Zealand markets.
Casinos.com will joins the group’s existing portfolio of brands including Gambling.com, Bookmakers.com and Bookies.com.
The acquisition of one of the “most sough-after domains in the industry” and comes after the firm’s recent purchases of Rotowire and BonusFinder.
In November, Gambling.com Group posted a 94% year-on-year (YoY) increase in revenue to $19.6m (£16.5m) for Q3 amid success in North America.
On the deal, Charles Gillespie, Gambling.com CEO, said: “We’re incredibly excited to have acquired the domain Casinos.com. We don’t think a better domain exists for us to share our incredibly deep knowledge of the online casino business with online casino players.
“We’ve always been a casino-focused company. While Gambling.com offers 360-degree coverage of the entire industry, Casinos.com will have a narrower casino only focus allowing us to go deeper still on our favourite part of the industry.
“Thankfully we have all the right people, technology and experience in place to hit the ground running with this new product and deliver a truly player-first experience,” he added.
Lee Gwilliam, Gambling.com VP of commercial and casinos, commented: “For players in the current market, you have to go to many different places to get what you need.
“We think there is no one market-leading really great resource just for casino players that focuses purely on casino. We want players to get whatever they want from the site. That’s why we’re by players for players.”
