Entain names new head of business development for CEE arm
Operator giant promotes from within as Mikolaj Cymerman shifts from parent company to new JV

Entain has named Mikolaj Cymerman as its new head of business development for its Entain Central and Eastern Europe (CEE) joint venture (JV).
Cymerman joins the arm after three years with Entain, having joined in November 2019 as a commercial manager.
He was then named business development manager in June 2021.
Cyerman will now move to become a key figure in the JV, which Entain established with Czech private equity outfit EMMA Capital, as it looks to tackle the CEE market.
Entain snapped up leading Croatian firm SuperSport in August in a deal worth up to €900m.
The joint venture (75% owned by Entain and 25% by EMMA Capital) is fronted by SuperSport CEO Radim Haluza.
Entain is planning to tackle the wider CEE market, comprising of Romania, Poland, Slovakia, the Czech Republic, Bulgaria, Serbia, Montenegro, North Macedonia and Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Entain CEO Jette Nygaard-Andersen previously labelled CEE as a “highly attractive growth market” with around €5bn of regulated gross gaming revenue (GGR).
This part of the world is expected to grow at over 10% per year through 2025, Entain also noted.
Speaking on his appointment, Cymerman said: “I’m thrilled to announce that I will be taking on a new role as head of business development for the Entain CEE venture.
“Entain has been a great place to work and grow for the last three years and I couldn’t be more excited for this new challenge,” he added.
