LeoVegas promotes from within for new head of engineering
Franziska Kullberg celebrates seven years with operator after landing senior role in tech team

LeoVegas has promoted Franziska Kullberg to become the one of the firms’s new heads of engineering.
A seven-year stalwart at the Swedish operator, Kullberg originally joined LeoVegas in November 2015 as a QA tester.
A slew of promotions followed which saw her named QA lead in November 2017 before jumping to QA manager in May 2018.
In August 2019, Kullberg was appointed development team lead, where she served for three years before stepping up to become head of engineering earlier this month.
In her new role, Kullberg will be responsible for overseeing the engineering output of the retention teams at LeoVegas as the operator gears up for a new era following its acquisition by MGM Resorts in a deal worth more than $600m.
Kullberg will continue to be based out of LeoVegas’ Växjö office in her new position.
Speaking to EGR, Kullberg said: “I’m super excited to take on this new role and to continue my journey here at LeoVegas Group. My main focus will be to strengthen our business from a retention perspective, and to build and sustain commitment within the organisation.”
There has been a raft of senior appointments following the MGM deal, which has seen LeoVegas shake up its top team.
Former head of responsible gambling Noel Zammit was named new chief operating officer in October, while industry veteran Chris Welch was appointed chief commercial officer in September.
