Odds On Compliance bolsters team with two new directorial hires
Marybeth Butler and Ali Ghanavati join the tech and consultancy firm to enhance its compliance team

Technology and consultancy business Odds On Compliance has appointed two new directors to its compliance team.
Marybeth Butler joins the firm after retiring from her career at the New Jersey Division of Gaming Enforcement (DGE), where she played a key role in establishing a regulatory framework in the state in 2018. Butler retired from the regulator in 2021 after 34 years in the sector.
She began at the New Jersey Casino Control Commission in 1987 as an auditor before being given the lead role in the revenue certification team in 1995. Butler then used her experience to draft audit strategies for the introduction of internet gambling in 2013.
Ali Ghanavati joins the business with 30 years’ industry experience. He arrives at Odds On from Fubo Gaming, where he spent almost two years as its director and head of regulatory technology. In his time at Fubo, Ghanavati oversaw its launches in several states, including Iowa, Arizona and New Jersey.
Before his time with Fubo, Ghanavanti spent 24 years with the DGE before moving into the private sector to set up his own consultancy business. He also had an 11-year stint with Gaming Laboratories International as a due diligence investigator and a technical compliance analyst.
Eric Frank, CEO and co-founder of Odds On Compliance, said: “We are thrilled to welcome Marybeth and Ali to the Odds On team. Each brings extensive and invaluable industry experience to strengthen our compliance team.”
This dual hire comes at the end of an eventful year for Odds On Compliance, as it rolled out its new playbook product series and successfully launched in Canada in September.
