Sportradar recruits Bloomberg veteran as North America COO
New York-listed supplier taps Andrew Bimson to join C-suite alongside CEO Arne Rees

Sportradar has appointed former Bloomberg senior manager Andrew Bimson as chief operating officer (COO) for its North American division.
Bimson joins the sports data giant from Bloomberg where he most recently served as global head of business operations and analytics between June 2014 until December 2021.
He has also held senior positions with marketing agencies Chime Group and Maritz, as well as a stint as CEO of Carlson Marketing in Australia.
Bimson will be based in New York and will report into Sportradar North America CEO Arne Rees.
Speaking on his arrival, Bimson said: “Sportradar is right at the center of where sports, data and technology intersect.
“As the market leader of enhancing sports fan engagement, I’m excited to join Sportradar and lead our talented teams who are revolutionising the rapidly growing sports betting and entertainment industry in the US,” he added.
Rees commented: “Andrew joins Sportradar at an important time as the North America market is primed for significant growth and remains a key focus of Sportradar’s overall strategic plan.
“His role in partnering with our leaders to articulate this vision, align teams around it, and create meaningful KPIs to measure our progress will be critically important,” he added.
Earlier this month, Sportradar appointed former National Collegiate Athletic Association senior executive Jim Brown to lead its integrity and prevention unit in North America.
