Paf sees cloud technology awarded ISO certificate
Operator secures top rating and becomes first igaming firm to land ISO ratification for cloud tech

Paf has become the first igaming company in the world to have its cloud technology receive ISO certification.
The Åland Islands-based operator was awarded the ISO 27017 certification, which represents the highest level of excellence for security and safety in terms of cloud technology.
Impressively, Paf secured the ISO without a single non-conformity.
The certification consists of a code of practice that outline information security controls which help analyse vulnerabilities and minimise risks for security incidents.
Paf said it regularly reviews the effectiveness of its information security management systems in line with these policies.
Francois Maugis, Paf chief technology officer, said: “This is a premiere for us in many aspects and the main one we could highlight is that we are the first in Åland but also in our industry to have been able to get it, so a world premier for Paf.
“As threat landscapes get more sophisticated, Paf engages in a continuous improvement paradigm for information security as well,” he added.
Jaiyashri Prakash, Paf senior information security management systems specialist, commented: “Extending our ISMS into ISO 27017 was a natural next step for Paf. While sustainability is important in other general aspects of business, demonstrating business resilience by means of information security is also important for Paf’s posture in the industry.”
