Lottoland launches Android app in Sweden and Australia
Gibraltar-headquartered operator expands Google Play Store access following 1 March market repeals

Lottoland has taken advantage of Google’s latest repeal of Play Store restrictions on real-money gaming by launching apps in Sweden and Australia.
Google allowed 15 additional countries to launch gambling apps across regional Play Stores from 1 March, including the US and European territories such as Belgium, Germany, Spain, Denmark, Norway, Romania and Finland.
From 7 April, the Lottoland app was made available to Google Play users in Sweden and Australia, with the operator hoping to tap into the strong Android presence in both countries.
For example, Sweden is the most active market for Android downloads, showing an average of five per month for smartphone users, according to Berlin-based research consultancy research2guidance.
Nigel Birrell, Lottoland CEO, said: “We are very excited that the Lottoland app is becoming more readily available to Android users and anyone using the Google Play Store.
“We know that a large portion of Lottoland users find and communicate with us via mobile devices and we can’t wait to see how these new audiences in Sweden and Australia get on,” he added.
