Degree 53 unveils new horseracing app for Loterie Romande
Manchester-based UX and software specialist reveals revamped retail app for Swiss operator

Degree 53 has developed a new retail pools betting app for Swiss operator Loterie Romande dedicated to horseracing.
The new app offers native functionality and interactive features for users, including the latest news and updates from the horseracing world, as well as livestreaming capabilities.
The app also offers customers the options to pick either a beginner or expert level, which will correspond to varying levels of personalised content.
As Loterie Romande customers can only place bets at retail outlets, the app generates a QR code with race selections that can be scanned in the retail setting.
The app is available across both iOS and Android devices.
Peter Voets, Loterie Romande CMO, said: “I’m very excited about our new PMU app. We enjoyed the collaborative process with the team at Degree 53, and their expertise and enthusiasm for delivering a high-quality app really shone through.”
Richard Wagstaff, Degree 53 MD, added: “I’m really proud of our team and this project. It’s a huge milestone for us as we worked on it entirely remotely without letting the pandemic affect our work.
“It’s a great product that bridges the gap between online and retail channels, making it a more enjoyable experience with the brand.
“The best part is that there is more to come, and this first release is just the beginning of the journey to enhance all of Loterie Romande’s apps. I can’t wait to share more information about our partnership very soon,” he added.
